This release changes the public presentation of Word Factory without changing saved game progress. The work focused on the homepage, brand assets and responsive behavior after reviewing how the previous dark-green surfaces competed with the already detailed factory artwork.
The result uses cream, pale mint and light cyan as large background fields. Deep green remains in text, borders and small controls, where it provides identity and contrast without turning entire sections into dark blocks.
A clearer homepage journey
The homepage now opens with two equal priorities: a factory campaign for longer sessions and a direct route into short word games. The first viewport includes the factory scene, a concise explanation, primary actions and four quick-game choices. Further sections explain the two play rhythms, the learning loop, Daily Factory, dictionary and word resources, common questions and a final start action.
The earlier page used large areas of dark green in the hero, daily banner and footer. Those areas have been replaced with light gradients and white cards. The Arcade feature card and blueprint illustration were also lightened so the visual rhythm no longer drops abruptly into a heavy block halfway down the page.
A new Word Factory logo system
The selected logo keeps the recognizable mechanical W, conveyor arms, letter tiles and gold gear, but uses a brighter palette and clearer wordmark. A high-resolution transparent PNG master is retained, while the website delivers a compressed WebP copy.
The left-hand W and gear were adapted into synchronized raster icons for the browser favicon, 32-pixel icon, 192- and 512-pixel manifest icons and Apple touch icon. The full horizontal logo remains in headers and the homepage footer. Intrinsic image dimensions were corrected wherever the shared logo appears so browsers can reserve the right space before it loads.
Responsive behavior
Desktop navigation stays on one line at the tested wide viewport, while narrower screens switch to a labelled Menu control. The hero becomes a vertical sequence on mobile: factory artwork first, then the learning promise and full-width actions. Quick-game cards use two columns on ordinary phones and one column at the narrowest supported width.
The new logo was inspected in the 1440-pixel desktop homepage, a 390-pixel mobile homepage and the existing dark inner-page header. It remains recognizable on both light and dark navigation surfaces without applying a destructive monochrome CSS filter.
What was checked
Automated homepage checks covered 1440, 390 and 320 pixel viewports. The checks confirmed one H1, no horizontal overflow, expected section and quick-game counts, usable button heights, a working mobile menu, bounded hero artwork, successfully loaded images, one collector request and no runtime exceptions.
A full local reference audit covered 365 HTML pages and 415 local asset references with no reported errors or warnings. The first-party /collect/ integration remained present once per document, with no external analytics added. These results describe the local build at the time of this update; production verification is a separate release step.
What readers can do next
Players can open the refreshed homepage, compare all word games or follow the new game-selection guide. Additional page templates will be aligned with the brighter visual system only after their content and interactions have been checked, rather than recoloring every page in one unreviewed batch.
